Free Online AI Audio Noise Reducer

Reduce background noise in voice recordings online, with optional smart volume adjustment.

Clean up your voice recordings

  • Light prioritizes a natural voice. Standard suits everyday recordings. Strong reduces more noise but may remove voice details.
  • After noise reduction, gently adjust overall loudness and control peaks. Normal volume stays close to its original level; quiet gaps are not deliberately amplified.
  • Audio is processed on your device without uploading your recordings. Preview the result before downloading.

How to reduce background noise

Add your recordings, choose the noise reduction strength, volume mode and output format, then process them. Preview the original and cleaned versions before downloading. Files are processed one at a time.

What can this AI voice noise reducer help you do?

Audio Noise Reducer reduces background noise in existing speech recordings, such as steady fan sounds, air conditioning, or hiss. Choose the noise reduction strength and volume mode to create a new result. Compare Original and Processed before deciding whether to save that version.

This tool focuses on noise reduction for speech recordings. It does not split a song into separate vocals and backing music, generate speech from text, record audio, or transcribe it. Noise reduction may change voice details, and background voices, music, or strong echoes may remain. Listen with your own source rather than expecting every noise to disappear.

How do I reduce recording noise and check the result?

  1. Choose the voice recordings you want to process

Click the file selection area above to add one or more existing audio files, or drag them in. Check that your originals play normally first. A filename in the list only means the file was selected, not that reading has succeeded. This page processes only mono or stereo audio.

  2. Start with Standard noise reduction

Options is expanded automatically when you add the first files to a new list, showing Light, Standard, and Strong noise reduction. Standard is the default. Use Hide Options if you want to collapse the panel. Try it on a short recording first, then try Light if voice details are affected. A stronger setting is not always a better choice for your source.

  3. Check the volume mode and output format

The defaults are Smart volume adjustment and Keep original format. Choose Original volume to keep overall loudness close to the source, or Normalize to bring different recordings closer in loudness. Options also lets you choose an output such as MP3 or WAV. These settings are applied after noise reduction when creating the preview and download.

  4. Click Process All and follow the progress

Files are processed one at a time, with a separate result for each. The first run may need to download and initialize the model and processing resources. Keep the page open. Click Cancel during processing to stop the current task and remaining unfinished items, then decide whether to start again.

  5. Compare each preview before downloading

After an item succeeds, click Preview to open the player, then click Play. Switch between Original and Processed to compare speech and background sounds. Click the item's Download button when ready, or Download All to save multiple results separately. Previews use WAV; other download formats are encoded afterward, so check saved files in the player you intend to use.

Judge results with strength, volume choices, and previews

Light, Standard, and Strong noise reduction

Try Light for less processing, Standard as the default starting point, or Strong for more noticeable noise reduction. These choices do not guarantee an effect. Voice details and background sounds may change, so compare settings on the same speech section.

Reduce noise, then apply one volume mode

Choose one of Original volume, Smart volume adjustment, and Normalize. Original volume aims to keep overall loudness close to the source while retaining necessary peak protection. Smart adjusts volume automatically, while Normalize aims to bring recordings closer in loudness. There are no custom professional loudness target controls.

Switch between Original and Processed previews

After processing succeeds, the preview panel offers Original and Processed. Opening it does not start playback automatically. Switching affects only the preview and does not turn the download into the original recording. Previews use WAV, while final encoding for compressed downloads such as MP3 may still affect the sound.

Process several sources and download separate results

Add several audio files and process them in sequence with the selected settings. Each item shows its own status and result. Download All saves completed files without joining them into one recording or creating a ZIP. Your browser may ask you to allow multiple downloads.

Follow progress and cancel when needed

Progress is shown during resource loading, noise reduction, and export, and you can cancel processing. Cancel stops the current task and remaining items. Results already completed in this run can still be saved. Clicking Process All again clears old results and starts the entire list again.

Which voice recordings are worth trying noise reduction on?

Steady background sounds in podcasts or interviews

Start with Standard when recorded speech includes fan sounds, air conditioning, or steady hiss. Check that processed speech still suits publication. Background music and other voices should not be treated as ordinary noise that will definitely disappear.

Meeting or remote interview recordings for listening back

Try noise reduction before organizing a recording when speech carries the important information but environmental sounds make listening difficult. Check each result to confirm the information you need is still audible. The tool does not create meeting notes or automatically transcribe speech.

Narration, explanations, or lesson recordings

Compare strength and volume modes when preparing audio for video narration, product explanations, or lessons. Choose a version that suits the source. Use a trimming tool afterward if you need one section; noise reduction does not choose content for you.

Voice memos or reading practice to listen to again

Test a short recording if you want background sounds to interfere less when listening back. Compare whether speech sounds natural and whether pauses and quieter sections still suit your task. More strength cannot recover words that were not recorded or guarantee preservation of every detail.

What should I know before and after processing?

  • Stronger noise reduction is not always better

Strong may reduce more background sound but can also affect voice details or sound unnatural. Compare Original and Processed on the same section, including quiet speech, word endings, and pauses. Try Light or Standard and process again if the result does not suit your task.

  • This is not a repair tool for every audio problem

This page does not provide vocal and backing music separation, dedicated echo or reverb removal, transcription, speech generation, automatic pause removal, or damaged recording repair. Background voices, music, and strong echoes may remain. Noise reduction cannot restore content already missing from a recording.

  • Inputs must be mono or stereo

The processing checks channels and reports unsupported multichannel recordings instead of automatically mixing them down to mono or stereo. If needed, use a converter to create a mono or stereo copy before returning, and check that the source itself is complete.

  • Keep original format does not guarantee unchanged settings or quality

The tool creates new audio with 48 kHz output. There are no sample rate, bitrate, or channel selectors. Keep original format uses a supported source extension where possible; other extensions produce MP3. Check the output format label in the list. Original encoding, settings, and sound quality are not guaranteed to remain unchanged.

  • The first run may need to load model resources

Core processing runs in your browser, but models, scripts, and processing resources may still download over the network. Loading may take longer on the first run or when a cache is unavailable. Check your connection and try an up-to-date browser after a resource or model error. Local processing does not mean fully offline use.

  • Long recordings and large files may need more memory

Processing depends on the file, device memory, and browser. A large-file notice does not block processing, but it does not mean files of unlimited size will succeed. Test a short recording, close tabs you do not need, and cancel if necessary. No fixed completion time is promised.

  • Save a version before changing settings and processing again

Changing strength, volume mode, or output format clears the current list's results. Click Process All again to rerun the entire list, rather than continuing only unfinished items. Download versions you need before changing settings, clearing the list, refreshing, or leaving the page.

How does AI noise reduction relate to KikiVoice's voice creation features?

KikiVoice offers AI Voice Cloning for voice cloning, AI Voice Design for voice creation, Text to Speech for turning text into speech, and AI Voice Changer for voice transformation. These features serve different voice creation tasks.

Audio Noise Reducer is a separate free AI voice noise reduction tool for audio you have already recorded. AI here is used for noise reduction. It does not generate new narration or provide voice cloning or AI voice changing. Choose the relevant KikiVoice feature to create or transform voices.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I remove background noise from MP3 or WAV recordings online?

Add one or more recordings, start with Standard noise reduction, and click Process All. When processing finishes, click Preview to listen to the original and cleaned versions, then download the result in your chosen format.

Can AI noise reduction reduce fan noise, hum and hiss?

It can reduce background sounds such as fans, air conditioning and steady hiss in speech recordings. Use it for meetings, interviews, podcasts and lessons. Results depend on the recording; background voices, music and strong echoes may remain.

What if my voice sounds unnatural or too quiet after noise reduction?

Try Light noise reduction to preserve more voice detail, or Standard for everyday recordings. If the result is too quiet, select Smart volume adjustment and process it again. For more consistent volume across recordings, choose Normalize. Preview the result before downloading.

Does Download save the cleaned audio or change my original file?

Download and Download All save new files with noise reduction applied. Switching between Original and Processed only changes the preview, not the download. Your original recording stays unchanged.

Are recordings uploaded to KikiVoice servers?

Audio files are not uploaded to KikiVoice servers. Core AI voice noise reduction runs in your browser on your device. Scripts, models, and processing resources may still load over the network, so this does not mean fully offline use. The experience with multiple files or large files depends on your device and browser.

What does Keep original format mean, and which outputs can I choose?

Keep original format uses the corresponding output for supported source extensions and MP3 for other extensions. Check the format label in the list. You can also choose MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, FLAC, OGG, Opus, or AIFF directly. Results are newly generated with 48 kHz output. Unchanged original encoding, bitrate, sample rate, or sound quality is not guaranteed, and this page has no selectors for those settings.

Why can multichannel recordings not be processed directly?

The current noise reduction supports only mono and stereo. It rejects other channel counts instead of automatically mixing them down to one or two channels. Use Audio Converter to create a mono or stereo copy before returning. Whether a file can be read still depends on the source and processing environment.

Can I cancel noise reduction, and how do I start again?

Click Cancel during processing to stop the current task and remaining items. Results already completed in this run can still be downloaded. Click Process All when you want to start again. This clears old results and reprocesses the whole list rather than resuming from the previous progress, so download any results you want to keep first.

Why is the first run slow, or why do model and resource loading fail?

On the first run or when a cache is unavailable, the page may need to download models and processing resources before processing. Check the progress and connection, and retry in an up-to-date browser. If the message says audio cannot be processed, also check that the original plays normally and test a short recording. Devices and files do not share one completion time.

Does Download All join recordings into one file or create a ZIP?

No. Each successful result is a separate audio file, and Download All saves the completed files one by one. Your browser may need permission for multiple downloads. An unsuccessful item does not receive a file through Download All. Check each result and save the versions you need before clearing the page.

Does noise reduction automatically delete pauses or keep only a chosen section?

No. Noise reduction addresses background sounds, not selecting clips or deleting quiet sections. Use Silence Remover from the related tools to process longer pauses according to sound level. Use Audio Trimmer to manually keep one continuous section. Listen and check the result after either task.

Why do result controls disappear after changing strength, volume mode, or format?

These changes invalidate the current list's old results so you do not obtain a version made with different settings. Click Process All again. Preview and download controls return for each item that succeeds. The whole list is rerun, so download the current version before changing settings if you want to keep it.
